Man, the past few hours have sucked.
My left eye is killing me for no apparent reason...my contact just started spazzing out in the middle of attorney training stuffness, and then it went from aching to burning to just plain HURTING. And now it's all bloodshot and super sore, ew. This has been a terriblehorriblenogoodverybad occurrence. Ow ow ow.
In other bitching news, I'm so sleepy. Man I want to go to bed. Math sucks so bad there aren't words. I think I know the stuff for the test, but I haven't even cracked the book open, and I need to.
Oh yeah, and I am massively pissed off at DD. Why not just say it, cause I'm gonna have to talk to her about it eventually. I spose we're just going through one of our "rough spots", but it's just really fucked. And I want to fix it, but I don't feel like it's my fault. Which is prolly just selfish bitchiness, so oh well.
At this point, I don't care.
Okay so I realize how ungrateful and awful this whole entry is, so please disregard. Thanks, kids.
Bye now.

Am I it or could you get more?
Today was just a day, but mostly full of smiles. Humanities was aight, and no quizzes, which saved my ass. Drama was cool (damn that bell, eh?). Gym, fine...long talks with Lauren and Christine. Oh yeah, and getting pegged in the stomach during handball. Fun stuff. Lunch, nickname time with Jamie. I loff. And Spanish, the usual : D...and actually doing well on the quiz, kickass!
Then it was Irish Club (better than math tutoring, right?) where I became the official Colombian of the club. And now, I'm stranded at the Observer till Teen Court at 6. And THEN it'll be back home.
Man, I am so tired.
Ah well, it's all good.

The List
(as composed by tessie and claire elizabeth)

Okay, boys, here's your chance. Sick of being the bane of every female's existence? Tired of being SO DAMN UNSEXY? Teresa and Claire themselves have decided, out of the kindness of their hearts, to give their precious time to your cause. Yes, awkward and unsavory young gentlemen, we are here you soooolllve your problems! You have compiled the ultimate, the amazing, the list of how to solve all your dating problems and attract girls almost as well as you repel them now!

1. Wear cologne. All the freaking time.
It may be expensive. It may be annoying. You may even get funny looks because you smell so damn strong. But hey!- If you think you've got a naturally sexy scent, you're delusional.
2. Ditch the bowl cut.
You should have done it many, many years ago, and we know this.
3. Spice things up in the wardrobe department.
The blue t-shirt was really hot, the FIRST time you wore it, the first day of school. But around the third time that week, it just starts to look a little...dingy. Go easy on the eyes, for once.
Five shirts a week, that's all we ask.
4.For God's sake, shave.
For those of you in that post-puberty-just-now-growing-facial-hair-stage, it really doesn't matter how little there is; shave it. There's nothing in the world more disgusting than one random and alarmingly long hair right on your chin or something.
5. Give gifts.
You may be broke. You may be cheap. And, you may be idealistic and believe in the depth of an emotional connection. Hate to tell you, it's only as deep as your wallet. The way to a girl's heart is and always will be materialistic. So even if she's just a crush, don't be afraid to blow your life savings on her. If nothing else, the other girls will pity you and start flirting with you so THEY can get presents too. It's a basic principle of sex; we help you spread your genes, and you give us stuff.
6. Learn to kiss.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not desirable to a women to have a guy come at her with an open mouth. French kisses are supposed to evolve from normal ones (like ducks evolved from carrier pigeons-- it's the same principle), not start out that way. For more in-depth information on the subject, we can help you with that, too. Sometime, when you are feeling very secure about your masculinity, we can slip you a manila envelope full of seventeen magazines with features on such subjects.
7. Do something about it.
Feminism has hurt us in one aspect: now, some guys think we have an equal obligation to be the first to profess our love. This assumption is wrong. We can't give you a good reason, but it is. Making the first move is gentlemanly, right up there with holding doors. Oh yeah, and it takes the pressure off of us!

^made up this summer, and now recalled for posting usage : D

on another note...("This is Claire. This is Teresa. They died sad and tragic deaths due to extreme stupidity...")

cetgoddess (5:26:14 PM): what great taste
Miamigirl1288 (5:26:43 PM): hot damn we're idiots

And color the coast with your smile
It's the most genuine thing I've ever seen...

--- (5:15:38 PM): but how valid is wishful thinking?
~~ (5:16:09 PM): maybe it's not
~~ (5:16:39 PM): but if that's the case, it proves that millions of love affairs that broke and made people's days, and hearts, and lives, were never really real
~~ (5:16:53 PM): so relish what you have, while it lasts, and while this slate is still clean enough.
--- (5:16:59 PM): amen *

*note: screennames changed to protect the desires of some to be protected, rawr.

It doesn't mean much
It doesn't mean anything at all...

The mall rocked, despite some crap that's really getting on my nerves. But everything's made wonderful if you add brownie Haagen Dazs (sp?) icecream and fantabulistic friends to it.
Then back home : D, dinner, and a movie with Mom.
I'm resisting the urge to quote myself.
Almost bedtime. Yum.

And sweet
Sweet surrender
Is all I have to give.

That I would be good...
For some reason, I seriously like couldn't sleep last night, and I don't know why. This morning, Mass was the longest thing EVER. Felt like three hours.
Now, I'm working some stuff out (I think), and then trying to mooch money off the rents before heading off to the mall.
We'll see if that works out, which it very well may not, due to certain people's inability to answer the phone...and parents who refuse to drive me anywhere.

I worry, I weigh three times my body
I worry, I throw my fear around

This night, there's a calm I can't explain
The rock candy's melted...and the diamonds now remain.

By the time I recognize this moment, this moment will be gone-
But I will bend the light, pretending that it somehow lingered on...
And I will wait to find
If this will last forever...
And it won't, cause it can't
It just can't
It's not supposed to.

Since 2:12 pm on Friday, September 26th, 2003, I:
- sat on my ass and watched VH1
- worked on my math project
- went through a frantic series of phone calls, with a great deal of beeping in, involving Steph, Laura, Lauren, and a woman from the Gaston County Animal Shelter.
- wasted more time on the phone, and posted on someone else's blog
- took a shower, and got out in the middle to call Deeds and remind her to bring her bathingsuit for Laura's
- went through another frantic series of phone calls, involving the Deedster's quest for a straightener
- wrote down some really messy directions to the East Meck band room
- danced around my room to Maroon5, in a towel
- greeted Lauren while barely dressed, hah
- figured out something to wear, and threw stuff into a sleepover bag
- sold Lauren a Reese's, and ate one of them myself
- cooked up corndogs and pasta for dinner, after scraping around in my empty fridge
- had a little room party with Steph, Deeds, and Lauren, and squirted lotion on the floor
- got in a nogoodverybad fight with my mom in the car on the way to east
- got lost trying to find the band room...like, entirely lost.
- discovered the incredible stupidity of East's ftbl game rules
- harassed Dan : D
- watched Jackson offer Dan's friend his number : )
- harassed Dan some more, while crowding four girls onto a three foot wide bench
- got a free Snickers, and made fun of people who can't eat pizza crust gracefully
- stole band trail mix stuff
- sat on the grass with Lauren and just...was, in clarity like a John Mayer song
- analyzed the left/rightness of hugs with Greg
- ran back to the MP side because HEY WE WON! : D
- checked out the football players (he's mine, stephy ; ) )
- delayed going to the car
- finally went to the car, and sang country as loud and off key as possible on the way to Harris Teeter
- stuffed stale sugar cookies in my mouth, and bought lots and lots of junk food : D
- recognized Freckles and Frisky!, and saw Laura's new room
- reminisced about Barringer and MGD days, thanks to the bulletin board
- went hot tubbing and had deep conversations, while considering the probability of one or more of my friends being raped, killed, or all of the above (valentine!)
- ate pizza while watching That's So Raven, and considering the extreme magnitude of loserness demonstrated by this
- got online, and loved Meggo
- talked on the phone for a couple of minutes, and called someone's home line at midnight (oops)
- got in trouble with Laura for bringing the mp drahmah with us, and stopped (along with Steph and Lauren)
- got ready for bed, and shared depressing stories with my favorite little shortness until 1 in the morning
- promptly fell straight asleep
- woke up at 9, to chocolate chip pancakes and the best friends a girl could ask for
- considered killing one of those friends, for various reasons
- came home, and slept (until 3!)
- woke up and took a walk with Joni Mitchell
- quoted John Mayer lyrics, and reflected on the extreme sexiness that is
- got dressed for Rosh Hashanah while missing CTY, and reminisced with Shella
- went to dinner, and contemplated murdering the most annoying 11 year old girl I've ever met
- watched a fantabulistic ABC family chick flick with some sweet 8th grade girls
- snuggled in a fleece blanket and listened to the rain
- came home to be grateful for my friends all over again
- considered kissing the stars for still shining
- tried to chop out the part of my mind that makes me think when i don't want to
- felt: stupid, because I am and can be, and grateful, because I have friends like Lauren and Laura and Deeds and Steph who make me feel not quite so dumb even when I am : D...I lessthanthree them like crazy, yo.
- began the process of getting my parents to give me some dinero for tomorrow's wonderful victoria's secret run with Lauren and Deeds and whoever else that wants to come
- made an insanely pointless list of 52 things I've done since Friday, September 26, 2003, at 2:12 pm

...Something in the way that
Blue lights on a black night
Can make you feel more.

People have the right to fly
And when it gets compromised
Their hearts say "Move along"
Their minds say "Gotcha heart"
Let's move it along
Let's move it along

And airports
See it all the time
With someone's last goodbye
Blends in with someone's sigh
Cause someone's coming home
In hand a single rose

And that's the way this wheel keeps working now
That's the way this wheel keeps working now
And I won't be the last
No I won't be the last,
To love them.

And you can't build a house of leaves
And live like it's an evergreen
It's just a season thing
It's just this thing that seasons do

And that's the way this wheel keeps working now
That's the way this wheel keeps working now
And you won't be the first
No you won't be the first
To love me

You can find me, if you ever want to give
I'll be around the bend
I'll be around the bend
I'll be around,
I'll be around
And if you never stop when you wave goodbye
You just might find if you give it time
You will wave hello again
You just might wave hello again

And that's the way this wheel keeps working now
That's the way this wheel keeps working now

You can't love too much, one part of it
You can't love too much, one part of it...
I believe that my life's gonna see
The love I give
Return to me
I believe that my life's gonna see
The love I give
Return to me
I believe that my life's gonna see
The love I give
Return to me

...and I won't be the last, and you won't be the first...

This is a momentary tribute to a way I used to be, and some thoughts I used to think, and a promise made by a mixed-up girl to a future self in a moment of warm sunsets and Michelle Branch and sand that squished between toes just to say- you are who you are, and all that's okay. And will be, now, forever, and in a day that you thought would bring you heartache because earlier you'd never imagined it could...well, this is a tribute to a way I used to be..

If I had known then that these things happened
Would they have happened with you?

measuring your minutes by a clock that's blinking eights.
And this is how every day ends, this is how a day ends and an epoch begins. This is how I say that everything is gonna be just fine, and that it's all worth it in the end. This is how I say the things I really can't, and this is how I pretend it's alright when it's not but it should be. So then I took my turn. Oh, what a thing to 've done. And it was all yellow.
This is how I figure things out, in my own time. Just bend the pieces till they fit, like they were made for it. But they weren't meant for this. No, they weren't meant for this.
For you I bleed myself dry. For you I bleed myself dry.
This is what IB is doing to me.
Well, not IB, really.
This is what my life is doing to me, my life and the way in which I choose to live it.
And at 11:27, when the day should've ended hours ago and I've been up waiting for the obvious things that I shouldn't, and I'm covered in lies that I have to put up here, I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's crazy...dammit.
This is incredible, starving, insatiable...
Sometimes you have to be not yourself to end up happy in who you are. And trust, trust is good too.
CAS stuff, and then sleeeeep the almighty.

And we can build through this destruction
As we are standing on our feet...

These reeling emotions they just keep me alive
They keep me in tune
Oh, look what I'm holding
Here in my fire-
This is for you.
Am I too obvious to preach it?

Humanities- turning in Alfie, and getting caught detouring after pictures.
Drama- pretending to take notes, and then writing my crappy letter. Oh, but getting some great laughs out of Chris and Kirsten's improv ("What, am I not pleasing to you?") : )
Gym- trying to run a mile, and sitting out during handball. Good times, good times. But it was realllly pretty out, at any rate.
Lunch- group, er, "problem solving" which nearly ended in disaster. Funny though.
Spanish- quiz, which was no fun, as always. and getting yelled at for some crazy shiz involving a waterbottle which was endowed with STDs thanks to Stern and Chris's, er, willingness to share. It's allll good.
After school was getting dragged halfway down the SC hallway on my ass, which was more fun than it might sound, and then chasing David/Jackson/Justin into the parking lot to get my candy back. And then making new rules about weight limits on the sidewalk. : ) Oh yeah, and then almost missing my bus. But finally making it to DD's, and getting my stats for the math proj. And then fooling Ms. Richie into thinking I'd actually practiced.
Ah, and tonight was my first night with my kindergarteners. They are so cute. And so incredibly random. And we are teaching them the sign of the cross. Mallory is the cutest, for the record. And Jack. And...aww.
And now, it's time for chemistry and phone time.
And then, sleep.
Tomorrow night looks like a night of groundation. Woot. I'll live though. : D

How're you feeling-
When the day has had its way with both of us.
And oh, I've gone out of my way
But I'm not free from this pain I'm leaving.
I was a fool to think someday would come around.
No, I'm not thinking that way
Cause now I see-
You are not what you seem.
You are a mystery to me...

Ahhhh. : D
I got home at 4.
I just woke up.
Yayyy. I feel sooooo good right now.

Now there's just project to be finished up.
Er, begun. And then finished up.

SooJinStar2B: Mine went from a cow to a cat to a turtle.
Miamigirl1288: hahaaa
SooJinStar2B: For a flickering second it was a snake.
Miamigirl1288: yeah, im doing a turtle.
Miamigirl1288: it may become a snake though.
Miamigirl1288: seeing as i have NO artistic talent whatsoever, i doubt anyone'll be able to tell the difference anyway.
SooJinStar2B: Turtle was super easy.
SooJinStar2B: But snake took no skill whatsoever.
Miamigirl1288: hmmm.
Miamigirl1288: both valid options, then : D
SooJinStar2B: You could go the extra mile and draw patterns on your snake.
Miamigirl1288: woot, i just found a picture of a TWO HEADED turtle
Miamigirl1288: that would definitely solve the originality problem.
SooJinStar2B: Hhaha
Miamigirl1288: ok HERES an idea
Miamigirl1288: i could you know, bring the turtle to life, by showing it in motion
Miamigirl1288: and i could have it IN ITS SHELL
Miamigirl1288: THAT WOULD BE SOOOO EASY
SooJinStar2B: Nice.
SooJinStar2B: Or just make the base and say that you've captured the essence of the turtle's soul.

: D Awesooome.

And anyone who tried to deny you
Must be out of their mind

Cause I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter now I met you.

The word of the day is definitely fucked.
With perfect sense, of course, but still fucked.
I have so much work. I am drowning in a sea of IB.
Which is besides this other stuff, and I don't really know what to say about that.
I hate not being able to write exactly what I mean up here, but I guess that's the way some things are.

Anyone perfect must be lying
Anything easy has its cost-

Anyone plain can be lovely
Anyone's love can be lost.
What if I lost my direction?
What if I lost sense of time?
What if I nursed this infection?
Maybe the worst is behind.

Stuff is fucked, but these decisions aren't mine to be made.
I need to quit it, but I don't want to...I never want to do what I need to.
Which brings me back around to math homework.
My Oresteia group rocks. It's like Maggie, Greg, Megan, Josh, Elbie, Caroline, Inas (sp?)...and other people, whose names aren't coming to mind right now. Ah well. We have a good idea, so I expect it'll all come together and kick ass. : D
Drama was aight. Elbie and I just slacked off, so what else is new? Gym was fine. Sometimes people who seem perfect, aren't. Lunch was funny, in that thiswouldbefunnierifitwassomeoneelse's life kinda way. Lol. Spanish was cool, as always, especially getting caught for eating like three times. Uhm, the quizzes suck. Really, really badly.
After school was tres cool. Ran around to the band room, then to Global to have my feet labeled and just chill with Tyler and Stern and Meggo. And then, outside for a comforting talk with Greg and getting my other foot, my left hand, and my left leg claimed. Lovely, eh?
And after that, Mom took me to Michael's to get my project materials. Um, I'm so not looking forward to doing that project. Soooo I think I'll put it off for tomorrow. : D
So yep, that was today.
Now, math and chem. Tomorrow promises to have a good deal of just overall mediocreness to it, but it's all good.
Sigh, for life.

And you tell me that it's over
Wake up lying in a patch of four leaf clover.

And you're restless
And I'm naked
You gotta get out, you can't stand to see me shaking.
Oh, did you let me go?
I didn't think so.
And you don't wanna be here in the future
So you say the present's just a pleasant interruption to the past
And you don't wanna look much closer
Cause you're afraid to find out all this hope you had sent into the sky by now had
Crashed.
And it did-
Because of me.

This is my life, and now it is September.
September is typicality. It is that slipping-into-routine where every day feels the same, in a way, except for those stolen moments. Where you're laughing on the phone too early in the morning, and you sound like a mix between a dying cat and an ecstatic horse. Where you eat icecream after you do a bit of homework, because you're rewarding yourself for your lack of productivity.
There is a line on my right leg from where I lean it against the edge of this ghettofied desk when I'm on the computer, and it will probably be there for the next nine or so months straight. It gets annoying when I try to shave and even Venus skips over that tiny spot.
In three months and four days, it is Christmas. In three months and nine days, it is my birthday.
Seasons change. People change. "Change is good. Change is bad. Change is change."
I can't resist it, I can't resist this.
The days get shorter. The nights get colder. I'm lonely with so many people to love.
Sometimes smiles make my day, when I try not to let them.
Sometimes I can't find any words to pull it all together, but lately I don't mind.
Ohmanohman, I know this is so wrong, and so stupid, and so pathetic, but I don't want to change it. Not for the world, not for the universe would I change it.
This is crazy. I is one crazy mofo.
I'm procrastinating.
I tell Lauren the same things every day in gym. How fall is my favorite season, and I should've been born in September, or maybe October. December though...everything is for its reasons.
Time flies, time dies.
I'm sorry this is an insane entry. No, I'm not.
I'm not going to be sorry anymore. Not unless I have to be.
Everything is wonderful.
I'm procrastinating.
This is stupid.

I can feel...so ignorant, for someone of sound mind.
I'd planned to delete that post when I got home. Well, actually, at one point I was just going to edit it, and at another, I was going to delete it entirely. But now, I've decided to just let it alone. I've never deleted a post in the past, what, nine months, as much as I've wanted to delete whole groups of them- so I don't intend to start now.
This afternoon at the movie was cool. Third-wheelin' it wasn't bad at all, just cause Meg and Stern are both good friends of mine. "YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT MEN WITH BIG GUITARS...LONG STRINGS!" Not my favorite activity, but I had to get that Spanish jazz done. Not that I managed to follow the plotline of the movie at alll...but, yeah.
After that was the festival. That was...well, interesting. --\\-///\\/\/...yeah. Um...we were there for a bit, which was cool. Then I broke down for a second with Elbie, for various reasons. Mainly just vulnerability, you know the drill...and just this feeling of incredibily unnerving frustratedness. Then we went to Patrick's house, which was aight. And then back, due to a bit of ADD-ness?, and we rode in Mark's car, which was quite fun. And then...cotton candy, yum.
And yeah, I realized I had nothing to lose, so I went and had a talk on the hill. I was almost unnerved by the fact that tonight I finally realized that it's not like I've done something wrong, or screwed something up. And maybe things will change, and I actually accomplished something, or maybe things won't change, not at all...but the fact is, I finally at least broke the surface and put some of the crap that's out there on the table. This whole blunt honesty thing is really working for me, I believe. Like I said, I had nothing to lose.
Then the massive orgy : D. Que divertido, no? Funny though, how sometimes it seems as though your actions can influence the actions of another in a totally unrelated circumstance. Which is, I believe, a good thing.
Everyone but me went to Stern's afterward, which kinda sucked, but whatever. Oh yeah, and I'm grounded next Friday night, for those interested. Sucks, don't it? My parents really need to learn to loosen up.
Ah. I feel...tired.
But...life is quite alright, really.

Oh, you see that skin-
It's the same she's been
Standing in
Since the day you two met
I bet I was on your mind
Never, ever, anytime.

A quick post, in a fit of frustration.
Some people really need to grow up. I mean, really.
I just don't have the energy for this anymore. I've realized as much as I used to care...at this point, I just don't want to deal with it.
I doubt you'll even read this, but for the record, this whole thing is your fault. I've never been anything but perfectly friendly to you over the past months. If you hate me for some unknown reason, just SAY so. I don't have time to waste, and as much as friendship is important to me...I'm not gonna push it if you just don't give.
Which is perfectly fine, and entirely your right.
But honestly, could you at least figure it out? and make it clear?
And while you're at it, at least be courteous?
Maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion, or making something up in my head, but I'm not stupid...I'm just saying what I probably should have said four months ago.
And now, off to the movies. :-)

I highly recomment the cheesecake icecream...heavenly. Oh yeah, and Jamie spilled icecream on me ;-). Nice, eh?
After that Clairsey and I went home. And talked for a long time. And slept. And then she woke up and left, and I went back to sleep. And slept. And woke up, and felt sick.
And talked on the phone, and am now getting ready for the spanish movie.

My life is Find and Fix. Screw it up the first time around. Come after school and change your answers. And then, it'll be all better.
Ah, today.
Humanities- stressing about math, and sleeping through the video. Oh, and 97 on the Gil test. Kickass.
Chemistry- I hate Mrs. Heath, with a fiery burning passion. FIERY BURNING passion, ya hear? Um, yeah. I can't do that class all year. It's like Horowitz, times a hundred and minus the awesome part where we have lunch to, er, share answers with the teacher's edition. Oh yeah, and no pretending she's God. :-D
Lunch was great. I love my friends. They make it all better.
Math was aight. I think I passed the test. I don't like to call em though. We'll see.
Physics was fine. I believe, ladies and gents, that things are fixed between me and Deeds. This afternoon, for the first time in about a month, things just felt so...right again.
Hah, if you didn't know me, you'd think I was talking about a relationship. I loff. :-)
After school was funness with Clairebear and Dash and the Deedster after walking out on the Governor's School thing. We're doin it next year, it's all good.
Claire and DD and I went and lay in the sunny grass.
Me- "That's a really cute picture of Meggo and Stern!"
Claire- "Er...that's ME and Meg."
Me- "NOO, not THAT picture!"

Hah. I loff.
Ah, I picked up my driver's ed form, only to lose it for the second time. Damn.
Meg's a gooood driver. Stick shift and everything, yo. Lol.
Oh yeah, cause after school was a "study session" at 'Bou', to quote Meggo. That was a blast. Made my day! :-)
Especially the pics. See Claire's moblog at some later point for the...web-appropriate ones. :-D

Life's pretty decent. Meg's a really cool chick, and she's burning me the Maroon 5 cd. That rocks my socks.
Uhm, hurricane!, I hope.

Shake down, you make me break
For goodness sake
I think I'm on the edge
Of something new with you
Shout out, don't drown the sound
I'll drown you out
You'll never scream so loud
As I want to scream with you

Standing there with your smile blinding
Your eyes from seeing
My face as I'm dying
To figure out a girl
But she drifts so far away
I'm on her coast
So maybe I should stay
And map around your world.

So don't say-
These currents are still killing me.
And you can't explain
But the wind went and pulled me
Into the hurricane.

Stand up, don't make a sound
Your ears might bleed
There are sweet flourescent enemies
That live inside me.
The world moves faster than I knew-
Not fast enough to not creep up on you
And the space we put between.
So pull me under your weather patterns
Your cold fronts and the rain don't matter
Becuase the sunburn's what I needed.

You don't do it on purpose
But you make me shake
Now I count the hours til you wake
With your baby's breath-
Breathe symphonies
Come on, sweet catastrophe.

Maybe this time I can follow through
I can feel complete
Stop paying dues
Stop the rain from falling
Keep my oceans calm
This time I know nothings wrong.

And I love the way the outside finally fits the inside. :-D

Maybe I wrote this to you, or maybe I'm just throwing words around to see how they sound.
If it were up to me, I would change everything around.
I would stop lying, because it's obvious, if not to all of you...then certainly to me, that all these lies get me nowhere.
If you say things enough to yourself, you think they come true. They don't really.
In a way, it's all your fault, no matter what's going on in your head, because you can help it. The thing is, though, that helping it isn't always what you really want, when you get down to the nitty-gritty.
There's something about being stupid, and doing things that you know you'll regret, that makes me want to do them even more.
I wish I couldn't fake it, because then I wouldn't have to.
And what if there were two, side by side in orbit, around the fairest sun?
That bright, tight forever drum could not describe
this trappedness.
You have such a right, you have such a hope, you have such a smile.
I wish I were you, in a million times three ways. Even though sometimes people tell me I shouldn't, they can't be true, because they're part of the problem.
I can't ever fix this.
I wish I couldn't fake it, because then I wouldn't have to.
And if it were up to me, things would always be different. Then, even though I know how, I would pretend I didn't. That way, I would be you. And then...
Well, you know the rest of this story, darling.

It's always wonderful, and then the same things go and fuck it up, over and over and over again. Sometimes I wonder, in a way, what would happen if those same things stopped being there. Would I find something new to always get in the way?
Will I, when all of this shiz is over?
Will there always be something in the way...

I don't know what to say, right now.
Laura and Dan broke up. For any of you who know Laura, make sure she knows how much you love her. She really needs it right now.
In other news, life's tough.
Not that I have any right to complain.
It's just...these little pieces, they don't make it any easier.
This is pathetic.
I should have been in bed two hours ago.
I feel like crying.

And how does it feel, to be out on your own?
And now it's too late to come home...

Before I die, I want to live in New York City for at least six months.
I want to work in a coffee shop.
I want to sit in a bar on my time off and people watch and write.
I want to find someone I really, really love, and dance in a subway tunnel with them to the sounds of a street musician.
I want to learn to play guitar, and write a song.
I want to smoke, just once.
I want to live in a dingy apartment, and barely scrape up the rent every month.
I want to drink coffee every day. Real coffee, not just sugary and super expensive frappucinos.
I want to pull a corny pickup line on a random person, and not crack up in the middle of it.
I want to go a whole day with no people time. None at all. No phone, no net, nada.
I want to chop my hair. A lot of it. Or, at least stop wearing it down all the time.
I want to leave for the day without looking in the mirror, at all.
I want to leave for the day, just a few times, with insane amounts of makeup. Loaded on, for serious.
And...I want to figure out how to not care, not a bit, except for when I want to.

That, my friends, would be magnificibulous.

What a NARSTY surprise...! ;-D

I <3 my life. I've never used that little heart thing before. I don't half mind it.
Today I woke up. Then I ate french toast. Then I went back to bed but couldn't fall asleep. Then I got up again. Then I made plans with Clairebear. Then I did Chem. Then I went to Clairsey's house. The original plan was to go home for 5:30 mass at St. Gabe's, but we realized how stupid that was seeing as we're both Catholic, and I ended up going to St. Vincent's. We had a good time walking to Caribou, seeing Alex and sich, and then chilling around the house, and then off to church (ah, singing in the car :-) ). St. Vincent's rocks my socks, actually. The homily was good. Oh yeah, and it smells so good in there. Seriously, yall. It smells like some reallly good cologne or something, I dunno. But man. If I wasn't teaching at St. Gabe's, I'd so switch just for the smell. :-P And, props on the music. Did anyone else know that Claire Elizabeth can sing? And afterwards, she got recruited for her mad horn skillz, lol.
And then, back here.
And now, off to Fuddrucker's.

I am angry with the world.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have split up.
That just kinda sucks.
They were supposed to be all cute and rich and happy together forever.
Good gracious, what is this world coming to?
ARGH.

And now, off to Clairebear's.

We're at the top of the world...

Today has rocked my socks, to be sure.
I woke up early and saved the world. Well, not quite, but close. Went to Joshua's Farm, which is this place that provides animal interaction for disabled kids and the elderly. Dug up a silt fence (this black rubber netting stuck into the ground with stakes to prevent soil runoff), and then dug a new trench to put it in somewhere else. Then moved a whole bunch of heavy fence posts, then moved some more heavy rocks in a wheelbarrow. I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, yo, but it's all good.
Then came home, took a nap, got online, took a shower, talked to people, watched some mtv, and went to ruby tuesday's. It was a really good time. I am in a great mood, despite being incredibly tired. Also, things between me and Deeds are kinda screwed right now, and I can't figure out why.
I'm sure it'll work itself out, as most things in my life seem to.
Sometimes I think I try to call things too quickly, and maybe...well, maybe I can't explain just what I mean in this place and time. But, I'm sure if you ask me, I'll be happy to elaborate. Assuming you have "security clearance", to borrow Claire's phrasing, lol.

...And it sure feels right.

I'm listening to juliana theory- we're at the top of the world nonstop. such a feelgood song...all should download.
I'm exhausted.
Time to make a very sad, and very Ib-y list of stuff that has to be done tomorrow.
Humanities- Proverbs sheet. I'll do a bit of the bible jazz as well.
Chem- graph for the lab. I think that's it...I better call someone to check up on that one though.
Math- nothing!, woohoo. Cept for, I best be getting some studying done. And calling Alex about major studying for Wednesday's test. The ass of which must be kicked.
Physics- I better do some contract shiz. Which, I'm sure, would work better if I had the sheet. Which, since I don't, means that I will be looking for someone with a scanner like crazy. Or, someone who wants to come on over and bring the sheet.
OR I could meet Claire at church, perhaps. We'll see.
Um, Tuesday.
Humanities- once again, nothing.
Drama- nothing, I don't think.
Gym, nothing of course, Spanish- ack, I remember her telling us....something. I'll hafta check the planner tm.

So tomorrow will be a day of phone, piano, a walk with my cd player, homework, and just a general feelgoodness, I expect.
I am feeling so...chill right now. And at least for a while, I intend for it to stay that way. This week has been an exercise in life, and I am lovin it. There's so much room to breathe, room to move, room to live.

...On the top of the world
Here tonight.

Ah, parabolas. This morning was so crappy. Woke up at like 4:30 to do homework that the rents wouldn't let me finish last night...world history map, some studying. And took a shower in the morning, which is a pain in the booty what with wet hair during breakfast. Irritates the heck outta me, personally.
Then came the car ride to school with Mom. Enough said.
And THEN, to top it all off, I realize I've forgotten my map at home. So ran and called Dad to bring it to me, which he didn't manage to do till like 12:30.
Uhm, humanities was fine. I kicked that quiz's ass. Go me, I needed something to go right. Drama was cool...test wasn't bad, focus circle (iloveit!), then talking with elbie...er, watching the Sheik. :-) Gym was actually fine...just chilling with lauren. Lunch, a good time. The 'stampede'...ran around with Jamie (TIC TAC TOE TWO OF THEM IN A ROW!), signed up for Global, some leadership thing with Lauren Voler, and muckrakers, on Jamie's command. And stole some cookies from another club. :-) Spanish, good times. 92 on the first part of the test, fine with me. And then La Catrina. And then...oh yeah, getting a wonderful workout with Stern by running all over the place trying to get my map to Mr. Wiggs. Anyone who ever needs him at the end of the day, he's in S, not LA. So yeah, keep that in mind.
Made the bus in the end :-), came back to dd's, came back home, went back to dd's, went to cotswold, came back and we all watched valentine. It was an awesome time...such a comfy group, man i love these girls. Oh yeah, despite the fact that I almost went into hysterics over the entire scaaaaaaariness of the whole movie. :-P
Couldn't stay for the sleepover due to the rents, but whatever.
Came home, talked to the girls on the phone, and hopefully it'll all work out.
man, did i mention how much i love them?
As for now, I gotta get some sleep before my comm service shiz tomorrow. Ten on a Friday night, pathetic. :-P

Some things in this world, you just can't change
Some things you can't see until it gets too late.
Baby, baby, baby, when all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I'm up against out in this world.
Maybe, maybe, maybe, you'll find something that's enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come on home.
I got a hole in me now
I got a scar I can talk about.
She keeps a picture of me
In her apartment in the city.
Some things in this world, man they don't make sense.
Some things you don't need until they leave you
Then the things that you miss, you say
Baby, baby, baby, when all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I'm up against out in this world.
Maybe, maybe, maybe, you'll find something that's enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come on home...
For God's sakes, turn around.

Dancing where the stars go blue
Dancing where the evening fell
Dancing in your wooden shoes
And a wedding gown

Dancing out on Seventh Street
Dancing through the underground
Dancing little marionette
Are you happy now?

Where do you go when you're lonely?
Where do you go when you're blue?
Where do you go when you're lonely?
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue.

Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with your lover's tongue
And a lullabye.

Where do you go when you're lonely?
Where do you go when you're blue?
Where do you go when you're lonely?
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue.
When the stars go blue.
When the stars, when the stars go blue.
When the stars go blue.
When the stars go blue.
Stars go blue.
When the stars go blue.

Where do you go?
When you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue?
Where do you go
When you're lonely?
I'll follow you, follow you, follow you, follow you.
Where do you go?
Hey, yeah
Where do you go
When you go.

Can't remember
what went wrong last September
but I'm sure you'd remind me
if you had to...

Today is the perfect September day. I refuse to call it fall yet, cause...somehow, it's not. But, it's getting there. :-P
I love this in-between weather. It's beautiful, the stuff of life and memories and dreams and, of course, music.
Ah. The word for today is...poignant.
Life is made out of moments, not days, or weeks, or years, or decades, or the thing as a whole.
It's just a collection of things like a cozy picture, or lying in the quad with Claire and Jamay, or falling asleep on your best friend's couch.
September means slipping into routines, the comfortability of it all. and it is so typical, and predictable.
But so...yummy.
And I'm wearing my old favorite jeans that I bought before a football game last September, and my Barringer sweatshirt, and I'm going to go outside and do my world history homework.
And right now, everything is juuuust fine. :-D
And it's alright
If you don't wanna go home
And it's alright
If you don't wanna be alone, no, no
And it's alright
If you don't wanna go home
I understand, I understand, I understand...

Miamigirl1288 (6:07:54 PM): do you ever get sad cause you're so fat stern?
climberman208 (6:08:48 PM): i do sometimes but then its nice bc i can just wipe the tears off with my fat
climberman208 (6:11:29 PM): it really is nice.

You know how sometimes, everything goes wrong, and then you get home and look back on the day, and you're like "wow, today actually rocked"?
Today is not one of those days.
It's more like almost everything was quite nice, but when you get back home and look over it all, you realize how much stuff really sucks, for no apparent reason.
Well, I take that back.
The reason's apparent, alright, it's just not worth talking about it.
Humanities was alright, star trek and such- drama, we analyzed everyone's walks. that was a little weird. but whatever. - first lunch was aight. the time in the audi was a blast, actually. trying to do my spanish homework and act like i'm paying attention and write all over people's hands, all at the same time. third lunch was so-so...talked to will for a bit, sold my booty, and observed the magic of claire's mancouch. Oh, and then lay in the grass for a bit myself. Spanish was ok. The test sucked. I don't know why everyone thought it was easy.
I have like no homework tonight...which should be majorly cheering me up, but it's not. I'm gonna go put on something comfy and then I gotta go to red cross. And then back here, probably to get some of Friday's work done.
I can't describe this feeling...just like everything's screwed up and boring, and always will be.
Although I know it's not the case...

Today's been alright, a parabola with the upside from about 3:30-5:30. And now, I am putting off my homework like it's the plague, which it really is. After this, I swear I'm gonna do my index card. And then it'll just be drama collages and spanish studying, which I can do some of during 5th period while I'm NOT IN GYM hallelujah. :-D

Your name :: Teresa
Age :: working on it :-P
What do you look like :: uhm? most of yall have seen me. if you havent, please go away. now. thanks.
How do you act :: like me? this is really not a fun survey right now. ok, better than homework. -continues...-

+ Basics +

Are you emotional :: Hahahahahaaa. But at least I know it. :-D
Do songs make you cry? If so, name a few of them :: Yeah, depending on my mood. Time of Your Life, I will remember you, train-drops of jupiter, and various others. Like I said, really depends on the frame of mind.
What about movies :: Duh. The cheesy parts, where everyone else throws popcorn and laughs? Yeah, I'm crying. :-D
What emotion do you usually feel :: Hrm...actually, I don't know. In class, it's mostly just a mix of restlessness and tiredness. There's usually an undertone of relative happiness...but once again, depends.

+ Sadness +

What does it take to make you cry your heart out :: Disappointment...I really think that's the most crushing emotion of all. Most of the time, when I do, it's a mix of like...a fight with Deeds or the rents and just tiredness. But I've done it for real a couple of times...end of 8th and leaving camps both get it.
How many times have you done that :: whoops, see above. :-P
Where do you cry :: On my bed, in the bathroom if somewhere other than home.
Do you hate crying :: not all the time. sometimes you really just haaave to. Plus, sometimes you cry cause you're happy. :-) Which is the bestest.
Do you like it when others cry :: Er, not usually.
Do make people cry :: Rarely. When I do, it's usually Gabby or Chad. And they bring it upon themselves, so there.
Do you think tears make eyes look pretty :: Yeah, actually, come to think of it...
Who looks good when they cry :: practically nobody.
How else do you express sadness :: haha, in 5th grade, i used to run away on the playground. I'd just get upset and I'd just run off over to the other side of the field. :-P Nowadays, I guess just getting really quiet or leaving wherever I'm at.
Are you sad all the time :: No...I mean, I guess in a way, but I'm not thinking sad thoughts or anything.

+ Anger +

What does it take to make you mad :: people pissing me off...? and being tired.
What do you do when you're angry :: i actually do see red, if i'm mad enough. Usually, confront whoever. Sometimes, just cry. lol.
How short is your temper :: Depends...on person, situation, etc.
How long does it take you to calm down :: Depends. I actually think the longest I've ever been mad is like 72 hours...at Arun/Lauren this one time last year.
What's the worst thing you've done when you were mad :: er...I kinda screw up when I'm mad, cause I'm realllly impulsive. Prolly just something to piss the familia off, tho.
Do you freak out when others are angry :: I don't think so...?
Out of the following, which one describes the level of anger you usually feel: annoyed, frustrated, angry, furious, hatred, about to go insane :: frustrated.
Has anyone ever recomded anger management to you :: no.
What's the worst thing someone's done to you that made you mad :: break my trust. in various ways.
Do you anger people :: Not on purpose...well, not usually on purpose. hah.

+ Joy +

How often are you happy :: Most of the time.
What makes you happy :: things going my way? friends, family, chocolate, shopping, vacation, pretty weather.
What do you do when you're happy :: Laugh a lot.
How optimistic are you :: Pretty, i think.
Do happy people make you mad :: rarely. even when i'm sad and they're happy...it just makes me wistful, not mad.
What's the worst thing someone can do while they're happy :: Pretend they're not? I don't know...
Ever been so happy you were dying to tell everyone, including your enemies and the bugs :: Of course. :-D
Ever been so happy you cried :: Haha, yeah. And lately, I've taken to randomly laughing at myself.
Do you smile a lot :: don't notice, sorry. :-P
Hug people a lot :: never enough. :-D
Kiss people a lot :: depends on the person...? :-P
Who really makes you happy :: :-X
Do the simple things make you happy :: most definitely.
Do you like doing things for people when you're happy :: yeah, i try. :-P

+ Fear +

What do you do when you're scared :: usually, scream. Or squeal. Or something pathetic like that :-).
What scares you :: bugs and rape. Yall know the drill, fo sho.
Do you like scaring people :: haha yeah. but not as much as they like to scare me. :-P
Do you like the thrill of being frightened :: sometimes, in a way.
Does fear accompany anger in your case :: not that I can think of.
Ever been so scared you could barely breathe :: Not that I recall.
How often do you panic :: Not that much...only when I feel the urge to, lol.
What's the one thing that scared you more than anything else in your life so far :: I don't know. September 11th kinda shook my world. but...nothing's really hit incredibly close to home.
What do you do to calm your nerves :: call a friend.
Do rollercoasters scare you :: Nah, not really. Used to though, insanely so.

+ What do you do +

When the emotion sucks :: Eat ice cream/ phone a friend? I don't know. Cheer myself up.
When the emotion rocks :: Try and hold onto it. Play good music. :-P
When there's no emotion :: Get freaked? Those were dumb. :-D

+ Would you rather +

Never feel again :: Sometimes I think it'd be easier but...no.
Feel loneliness or anger for the rest of your life :: anger.
Be happy forever and never experience the bad times :: ...no. The good times are nothing without the bad. "All about the experience". Trust me, I know.
Cause misery :: no
Feel misery :: no
Be alone :: no
Be with everyone you know :: yay? :-D

Okay, index card. I can do this. Focus.
