Damn, guys!
It's been a while...like a week I guess...but it feels like SO. Much. Longer.
I love it here.
Like, I've loved it since about 5 minutes after I got here.
My best friends are prolly Ali (the roomie!), Anstes (her sister, get that...), Michele (this supersweet girl with the awesomest ny accent EVER), Christine (a total sweetheart), and Liss (the sporty one).
It's really annoying because, different from TIP, the girls and guys have totally separate dorms here, and the guys aren't allowed in the girls' buildings and vice-versa. So if we need something from our rooms, we have to like get the guys to wait outside while we pick it up. Retarded.
Um...ethics is definitely on the boring side. And the instructors get really pissed at us if we pack up even like...TWO minutes early. But ah well, that's the way of the world.
I haven't been this happy in about forever and a half.
Um....the food sucks. So eat something yummy and think of me, por favor!
Let's see, last night was the dance, that was a blast. And on the weekends we can have sleepovers with the other girls on our hall, so Ali and I had Christine and Michele and Liss and Anstes all into our room. And then the other girls from the hall came in at like 12:30 and we sat up and had girltalk and read cosmo, lol.
And today's carnival day/casino night, which is apparently really fun so...
Everyone makes fun of me for saying yall! *sob*...Cause like all the people up here are from ny, nj, etc...I'm the ONLY person I've met from below Virginia, except for one guy from Arizona. But it's all good.
It is crazy fun up in here. Don't you love that feeling you get when you know you're having one of those real and honest 'times of your life'?
Anyway. I'm starved since we all skipped dinner last night to get ready for the dance so yeah...in the last like 24 hours i've had two plates of spaghetti and that's it. And a smoothie. Which is actually not that little but...I'm starved. And it's lunchtime. So I'm out!
Ask Claire or Deeds or someone if ya want my number...the best time to call is like 10:45 at night. And calls are, of course, welcome. So I love yall! and keep in touch. And talk to ya later.

Apparently, Martha (Tess's RA) has no last name; we're just hoping it goes through this way. I doubt there are many Marthas with Teresa Reeds as campers, so I forsee no problemo :-D
*UPDATE: it's Martha Goodman :-D*

HEY OUT THERE!
It's a quick stopover in Princeton before I'm back on the road...so I'm using my grandma's incredibly incredibly ghetto computer to jump online and reconnect with the world.
Woo, we just left Cape Cod this morning and I miss it already. Like madfreakingcrazy, too.
Dude. Here is something funny.
So you go out of town, and there's something that's kinda been bothering you (read: plaguing you like madfreakingcrazy) and you're worried something will come of it while you're out of town and your back is, well, turned, so to speak.
Then, you come back (or, stop in Princeton for a night before camp and get online) and find that this...er...thing that's been bothering you has actually materialized into something more than the sad figmentations of your poor, paranoid imagination.
And it's like all of a sudden, it doesn't bother you anymore.
Not even a millimeter's worth.
And everything is absolutely awesome!
Damn, I am so happy right now.
It's summer and...I don't know how yall's weather is holding up but up here it's GORGEOUS and...I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end...
Two weeks at Cape Cod is SO not enough. Especially when you consider that I won't be back for a whole year, sob. Despite the fact that interaction with anyone other than my family consists of five phone calls and an excessively long message left on steph's cell. Oh yeah, and five? six? letters that took forever to get where they were going so never got responses, lol.
For the uneasy, I highly recommend two weeks in the sunshine and long, long walks on the beach in the evenings, accompanied by Michelle Branch or John Mayer or Jason Mraz...
I miss the feeling of sand between my toes! :-(
That's all for now, although I plan to post email and snail mail addresses for camp (tomorrow's excellent destination) sometime later, and if you do not write/email me, you will be hurt. Badly. ;-D
*edit: due to 'circumstances beyond my control', not only is there no way i can be reached by email, but i won't know the snail mail address till tomorrow (when i get there). So Miss Trustworthy ;-), aka Claire, will be posting it up here for all of you in the early part of the week. Assuming all goes as planned. :-D *
Wow, some people really make my day!
Maybe I will tell you all about it when I'm in the mood
To lose my way with words...
But let me say you should have seen that sunrise
With your own eyes
It brought me back to life

Wait it out while I am someone else...
Wow.
5 and a half weeks is a long time, lol.
I mean I leave the first day of July and don't come back till August is well on its way to being through...
Ah well.
I wouldn't have it any other way. :-)
Letters will surely be coming to most of you...
and if I don't have your address or something to that effect just talk to Deeds or someone else who's guaranteed to get my address within the next few days...
And I doubt I'll have access to a computer...but then again, last vacation we randomly went to some museum and they had computers set up against a wall. So feel free to email bunches!...miamigirl1288@aol.com, as most of you know.
August 9th or 10th I'll be back, depending on whether or not we (Mom and myself) spend the night in Maryland after she picks me up from jhu but before she drives me home.
I'll miss you-
And much love, of course! :-)
You always dress in yellow
When you wanna dress in gold
Instead of listening to your heart
You do just what you're told
You keep waiting where you are
For what you'll never know...
It might take a little
And it might take a lot
But why not
Why not...
